Frequently asked questions…
Does Aaron Lang Photography you have a Copy write over our photos, do we have to sign a contract giving the rights to our photos away and do we have to pay extra to keep all the hi res images for our use? This is one of the most important questions you should ask your photographer. When you book with Aaron Lang Photography rest easy knowing your photos are YOURS! We won’t use them with out your permission for any advertising, we respect that you have paid us to capture your day professionally and you should have the rights to your photos.
This means you can print, email, upload to Facebook, enlarge, what eve you want with no extra charges but best of all, you can sleep easy knowing we won’t use any of the images from your day in any promotional adverting or for our personally use with out your consent… ask around, we are very unique and this is a major point of difference.
Some photographers give you the hi res images on disc but only a select few offer you all the images from the day, yes, we give you all of them, typically between 1000-1500 photos.

What package is best for us – maybe we just want our photos on disc, maybe we want an album, we might even want to be able to design our own photo book?
Everyone is different so when you book with Aaron Lang Photography, we have all the options.
The Silver package is ideal for those who prefer to have their images on disc for now and perhaps create an album at a later date when the budget or circumstances allow, or maybe they just have other plans for their images. What choices of albums do you offer? Our Gold package includes top quality albums. We recommend the beautiful and long lasting Queensberry Albums and we have options for extra albums for family/friends – with prices to suit your budget, we recommend you choose a package that’s right for you. With Aaron Lang Photography, you can up grade at any time, even after the wedding day and you can take as long as you like deciding on exactly what images you want in your Queensberry. Within 10 days of your wedding you will have received a CD of images and a DVD slideshow and from here you can then choose your favorites for the album. We will then create the Queensberry Album for you.
When does the photographer arrive? We normally arrive an hour before the ceremony. That way we can capture loads of small details, Bride and Bridesmaids preparation and you get used to the camera being around quickly which is great, we don’t want you arriving at the ceremony when you are at you most nervous and have the added pressure of our camera. We want you relaxed for natural photos.
How much time should we allow for the ceremony? We find 99% of weddings have a ceremony that lasts approx an hour and a quarter; that includes Brides arrival, ceremony, congratulations and family photos. Church weddings are typically longer and allow more time if you have loads of family photos.

How can we cut down on the time it takes to do the family photos? To make this time as short as possible and give you more time for creative fun photos, have your MC announce each group from your list and engage one person from each family to locate the participants, from there we can organize how we want them for the best backdrop and lighting.
After the formal family and group photos what should we do for our creative photos? Leave that up to us but we recommend the bridal party goes away from the rest of the guests to a location where you can relax and have some fun - this could simply mean a different part of the garden or driving to a beach or forest setting. Allow 45mins to 11/2 hours of shooting time plus whatever time it takes to get there and back. Bring a bottle of bubbly, beers and refreshments. We get a scrapbook off our clients before the big day so we know exactly what sort of images you love. This part of the day is our specialty, this is where we shine! We get to be as creative as you will allow and capture beautiful images that blow your socks off!
Do we require the photographer stay for the cake cutting and speeches? Normally the photographer allows for 4-5 hours of shooting time but we can extend this to fit in with your schedule. If you prefer to keep the time down then we recommend that you either cut the cake earlier in the proceedings, normally straight after you have been introduced into the reception.
What of it rains on the day??? HELP!
Don't panic, this does unfortunately happen allot and we are used to it, it has to be a force 10 cyclone before we start to worry, we have the creativity to capture amazing photos in any weather condition and remember, it's difficult to capture the rain with a lens, think about the movies you may have seen with rain scenes, they really make it rain hard with overhead buckets to try to make it look like it's raining, genuine rain just doesn't look like it's raining which for us is perfect... make sure you grab some umbrellas just in case; gumboots, umbrellas and other props can make for fun photos. Whatever the day throws at us, we will make the most out of it for the best photos possible!
